In December 2023, Spotify introduced the Spotify Audience Network in India, an audio-first advertising marketplace facilitating targeted podcast advertising for Indian brands. This initiative offers a platform for podcast publishers and creators to monetize their content effectively.

The Spotify Audience Network was initially launched in the U.S. in 2021 and has since expanded to over a dozen global markets spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia. Over the past year, participation from advertisers in the marketplace has surged by over 45%, accompanied by a more than 70% increase in opted-in podcast publishers.
