Amazon Music India Launches 'Best Of 2024’ Celebrating Top Hits, Artists & Podcasts

As 2024 draws to a close, Amazon Music India takes music lovers on a journey through the year’s soundscape with its much-awaited Best of 2024 retrospective. From debut chartbusters to fan favorites, this celebration highlights the tracks, playlists, artists, and podcasts that defined the year on Amazon Music.

Renowned artists Sachin-Jigar, Shilpa Rao, Vishal Mishra, Arijit Singh, and Anirudh Ravichander emerged as the most-streamed performers of the year, crafting the melodies that shaped 2024. With 42% of listeners tuning into Hindi music, "Tauba Tauba" from Bad Newz by Karan Aujla dominated the India Playlist, while "Sajni" from Laapata Ladies by Ram Sampath, Arijit Singh, and Prashant Pandey was crowned the most-streamed Hindi song.

On the global stage, pop sensation Sabrina Carpenter captivated audiences with her addictive single "Espresso," making her the top international artist and song of 2024. Meanwhile, Punjabi music saw massive engagement, with Diljit Dosanjh leading as the top Punjabi artist and his track "Naina" from Crew (featuring Badshah & Raj Ranjodh) claiming the top spot in the genre.

In the indie space, Anuv Jain’s "Jo Tum Mere Ho" emerged as the most requested song on Alexa, cementing his place as a favorite among listeners. Similarly, Akshath Acharya’s viral hit "Nadaaniyan" propelled him to the top of the Indian Indie category. The Indian Pop scene was ruled by Badshah, whose track "Soulmate" from Ek Tha Raja resonated widely, while Hanumankind dominated the Indian Hip-Hop charts with his impactful song "Big Dawgs."

Regional music also saw stellar performances. Sai Abhyankkar emerged as the top Tamil artist with his viral hits "Katchi Sera" and "Asa Kooda." Anirudh Ravichander’s compositions for Devara Part 1, Vettaiyan, and Indian 2 ensured his spot among the top Indian artists, while Thaman S took the Telugu charts by storm with his work for Guntur Kaaram.

On the podcast front, shows like Unfiltered by Samdish, Cyrus Says, and The Ranveer Show dominated the 2024 charts, while editor’s picks such as Be A Man, Yaar! Season 2, The Bhootbusters Podcast, and Immortal India with Amish further enriched the platform’s diverse offerings.

Reflecting on this recognition, artists expressed their gratitude. Anuv Jain shared, “The love and support for Jo Tum Mere Ho have been overwhelming. It’s truly special to be part of Amazon Music’s Best of 2024.” Akshath Acharya echoed the sentiment, saying, “The warm reception for Nadaaniyan has been incredible, and I’m grateful for the platform Amazon Music has provided.”

Badshah remarked, “This year, with my album Ek Tha Raja and tracks like Soulmate and Naina, has been nothing short of amazing. I’m honored to be featured in the Best of 2024 playlist.”
