Delhi Hip-Hop Duo PARO Builds Buzz With 25+ Shows, 150K Spotify Streams

Independent hip-hop duo PARO, comprising Delhi-born brothers Satwik and Sanath Parashar, is steadily making its mark on India's rap scene with a growing catalogue of music, a strong live presence and an expanding fanbase, all without label backing.

Performing under the stage names Shudh (Satwik) and Shor (Sanath), the duo launched their musical journey in 2025 and has since released their 14-track debut album, Before The Beginning, along with several singles. Their music has amassed over 150,000 streams on Spotify in just 18 months.

Beyond streaming, PARO has built a reputation as a live act, performing more than 25 shows across some of India's leading college campuses, including Lady Shri Ram College, Hindu College, GNLU Ahmedabad, NIFT, DTU, Amity University, GD Goenka University and Rishihood University.

A major breakthrough came just five months after releasing their first song, when the duo opened for Indian hip-hop act Seedhe Maut at a concert in Lucknow attended by around 5,000–6,000 fans. Since then, they have shared the stage with artists including Arpit Bala, Vichaar, Siyaahi, Karun and Nanku.

The duo recently expanded its footprint internationally with a performance in Bali, marking its first overseas show.

Away from music, both brothers balance demanding professional careers. Sanath Parashar, who performs as Shor, is a practicing lawyer at the Supreme Court of India, while Satwik Parashar, aka Shudh, works as a consultant and is pursuing a master's degree, reinvesting his earnings into the duo's music career.

Despite having no label support, industry connections or formal musical background, PARO has built its audience independently through consistent releases and live performances.

Looking ahead, the duo says it has more than 50 unreleased, fully mixed and mastered tracks ready for release, signalling an ambitious roadmap for the future.

Describing PARO as "more than just music," the brothers say their mission is to create songs that inspire resilience, self-belief and personal growth, while continuing to grow their presence in India's evolving independent hip-hop landscape.
