Vedam Records Marks World Mental Health Day With Music And Wellness Experiences

Vedam Records, Universal Music India’s Grammy-nominated wellness label, marked World Mental Health Day with immersive music and wellness experiences designed to explore the connection between sound, memory and emotional wellbeing.

The first session, titled ‘The Frequency Within’, was held at Aum Life in Worli on Friday. Organised in collaboration with EKA by Paayal and InstantBollywood, the 60-minute experience brought together vintage Hindi film music, breathwork, sensory grounding and guided meditation.

Led by Paayal Lal, the session saw the participation of around 50 creators, influencers and cultural voices. Featuring music from Vedam Records’ The Bollywood Frequency Project – Vol. 1 & 2, the experience encouraged participants to engage with familiar film songs beyond conventional listening and explore the emotions and memories they evoke.

Attendees included Krishna Shroff, Pria Kataria Puri, Sonnalli Seygall and Kajal Kothari.

Speaking about the initiative, Faustin Missier, Business Head, Vedam Records, said, “At Vedam, I’ve always believed music has the power to do more than entertain. It can help us slow down, reconnect and experience something within ourselves that words often can’t quite reach.”

Paayal Lal of EKA Wellness added that breath, movement and sound can help people reconnect with their bodies and emotions. She noted that familiar songs can carry memories and feelings that contribute to emotional wellbeing.

The initiative continues on October 10 with ‘Reset the Frequency’ at Matrix Wellness, Linking Road, Bandra, from 4 pm onwards. Led by Paayal Lal and facilitated by EKA Wellness, the 30-minute session will combine breathwork, body awareness, guided mind-body meditation and musical immersion, focusing on recovery, emotional regulation and holistic wellbeing.
