Warner Music India Strikes Global Distribution Deal With Ultra Music

Warner Music India has inked a strategic partnership with Ultra Music, one of the country’s most established music labels, to form an exclusive worldwide distribution alliance.

Under the agreement, Warner Music India will distribute Ultra Music’s catalogue of over 14,000 tracks, spanning Bollywood soundtracks, regional releases, folk recordings and devotional music. The deal also grants Warner exclusive rights to distribute all future Ultra Music releases during the term of the partnership.

The collaboration gives Ultra Music access to Warner’s global distribution muscle, expanding the international reach of its vast and diverse repertoire across digital platforms.

Sushilkumar Agrawal, CEO of Ultra Music (Ultra Group), said the partnership marks “a meaningful step in strengthening Ultra Music’s distribution and reach,” adding that combining Warner’s network with Ultra’s catalogue will help deliver Indian music to audiences worldwide.

Jay Mehta, Managing Director, Warner Music India & SAARC, highlighted the scale of Ultra’s catalogue, calling it “one of the industry’s most significant.” He noted that the alliance will allow Warner to take Ultra’s classics and upcoming releases to a broader global audience, bolstering its Bollywood and regional offerings.

The partnership signals Warner Music’s continued push to elevate Indian music on the world stage.
