Spotify closed 2025 with its strongest quarterly performance to date, delivering double-digit growth across subscribers, users and revenue in Q4 2025. The milestone was shared by Neha Ahuja, Consumer & Tech Business Leader and Board Member, who highlighted the company’s momentum across key business metrics.
According to the update, Spotify reached 290 million Premium subscribers in the fourth quarter, marking a 10% year-on-year increase. Monthly Active Users rose to 751 million, up 11% compared to the same period last year, making it the company’s strongest quarter ever for MAU net additions.
Financial performance also showed marked improvement. Spotify generated €4.5 billion in revenue in Q4, reflecting 13% year-on-year growth at constant currency. Gross margin expanded to 33.1%, improving by 83 basis points year-on-year, while operating income reached €701 million, underscoring stronger cost discipline and improved operational efficiency.
“Over three-quarters of a billion people now spend part of their day with Spotify. That scale, and the responsibility that comes with it, energizes us,” Ahuja wrote, emphasizing the platform’s expanding global footprint and influence within the creator ecosystem.
She described 2025 as a year focused on execution, signalling that 2026 will be about accelerating momentum. “2026 is about raising the volume, together,” she noted.
The results reinforce Spotify’s position as the world’s leading audio streaming platform, with sustained user growth paired with improving profitability. As the digital audio landscape becomes increasingly competitive, Spotify’s Q4 performance suggests it is entering the new year with both scale and financial strength firmly in place.
