Believe, one of the world’s leading music companies, has announced the launch of Believe Music Publishing across select markets, including India and South Asia, marking a major milestone in its ambition to evolve into a fully integrated global artist development company. This digital-first publishing division expands Believe’s ability to empower artists, independent songwriters, and publishers at all stages of their careers in one of the fastest-growing and most dynamic music regions in the world.
Built on the combined strengths of Believe and Sentric, which was acquired in 2023, Believe Music Publishing brings together cutting-edge technology, data-driven insights, and global infrastructure to deliver one of the most advanced publishing services in the industry. With a global network of more than 160 publishing experts, the division covers creative, sync, and revenue optimization functions, while its transparent and efficient collection infrastructure benefits from long-standing partnerships with collection societies worldwide. The integration of recording and publishing enables teams to leverage shared data and create greater opportunities for artists and rightsholders — a model that has already driven digital revenue growth 13 points above the market in 2024 for songwriters represented by Believe.
Existing publishing services within Believe will continue to operate alongside the new division. Sentric will remain focused on administration solutions for self-published songwriters, while TuneCore will continue to provide publishing administration for its creators.
Chris Meehan, who founded Sentric in 2006 and led its transformation into a globally recognized independent publisher, has been appointed CEO of Publishing, Believe, with the responsibility of building the company’s global publishing foundations.
Denis Ladegaillerie, Founder & CEO of Believe, said, “The launch of Believe Music Publishing consolidates Believe’s position as an integrated global music company. With digital now being the biggest driver of collections for creators, and the publishing market exceeding €4 billion after a decade of double-digit growth, we are uniquely positioned to lead this evolving space. Our publishing arm now complements our leadership in recording, and I am confident that Chris and his exceptional team will drive our innovative, digital-first approach to benefit artists, labels, and publishers at every stage of their careers.”
Meehan added, “It has been an incredible journey to build the foundations of Believe’s publishing business since our acquisition of Sentric. With our expert teams, innovative approach, and industry-leading technology, I’m confident Believe will establish itself as a key global publishing player in the years to come.”
