The JBL & Martin Garrix Music Academy Returns: Empowering Emerging Artists Worldwide

The JBL & Martin Garrix Music Academy is making a triumphant return, inviting musical artists worldwide to apply for its prestigious program starting today. Following its triumphant debut in 2023, the Music Academy is continuing its mission to nurture emerging talents, extending a warm invitation to the class of 2024 to participate in its exclusive three-day initiative at STMPD studios in Amsterdam this November.

Becoming an artist is more than just talent; it requires knowledge, inspiration, connections, and support. That's where the Music Academy steps in, offering 30 promising musicians, songwriters, singers, and producers the chance to learn from industry veterans and forge connections with fellow artists.

From immersive workshops led by leading figures in the music realm, including Martin Garrix himself, to sessions on music creation, branding, and business, the Music Academy equips artists with invaluable insights across various facets of the industry, gearing them up for success.

Building on the success of its inaugural class, JBL has continued its support, providing numerous opportunities for the Class of 2023 alumni to showcase their music and represent JBL at prestigious events like the Montreux Jazz Festival and the JBL Snow Party.

Expressing his excitement for the second edition, Martin Garrix, JBL's Global Brand Ambassador, remarked, “I’m super excited we’re doing a second edition of the Music Academy with JBL this year. Meeting all the talented artists last year and seeing their creativity and passion through the experience was inspiring. With STMPD RCRDS, we're already focusing a lot on upcoming talent, so the Music Academy feels like the perfect addition."

Robert Jan van Dormael, Vice President Marketing for Lifestyle Division EMEA and India at JBL, emphasized the company's commitment to nurturing talent, stating, “At JBL, music is at the core of everything we do. When we launched the Music Academy last year, the goal was to provide a platform to empower talent with the knowledge they need to turn their passion for music into a career. We are excited to build on that success this year."

Aspiring artists can apply by submitting a motivational video along with up to three music tracks showcasing their unique sound. Applications for the JBL & Martin Garrix Music Academy are open globally until April 30, 2024.
