Women of Music India (WoMI) is excited to announce its collaboration with the Future School of Performing Arts to launch the WoMI x Future School Scholarship. This initiative is designed to empower women in the music industry by providing full-tuition scholarships for three deserving candidates in music production and sound engineering. The scholarship aims to make music education more accessible to all and has been officially launched at the Future School's campus in Goa. This collaboration symbolizes the commitment of both organizations to fostering a more equitable music industry and nurturing diverse talent.
Women of Music India is a vibrant community dedicated to supporting women in the Indian music industry. With a global presence, WoMI transcends languages and regions, creating a platform for meaningful conversations, knowledge sharing, and career opportunities. The WoMI Scholarship not only offers 100% funded education but also provides career support, mentorship from industry experts, and access to a network of creatives through WoMI membership. This initiative is crucial in addressing the underrepresentation of women in music production and sound engineering, paving the way for future generations of female artists and professionals.
Priyanka Khimani, Founder of WoMI, stated, "Education is a powerful tool, and scholarships open doors to those who aspire to learn. Our goal is to make those opportunities accessible to everyone. The Women of Music India X Future School of Performing Arts scholarship is committed to investing in the next generation of female music producers and sound engineers."
Nilesh Thomas, Chief Academic Officer of Future School of Performing Arts, added, "Partnering with WoMI aligns with our mission to nurture talent and create an inclusive environment for aspiring artists. Together, we can help shape a brighter future for women in the music industry."
WoMI x Future School Scholarship represents a significant step towards empowering women in music, ensuring that they have the resources and support needed to succeed in a traditionally male-dominated field.
