Pop artist Shalmali has dropped her first English single, which likewise happens to be the first single she has composed and written during the lockdown time frame.
The melody is named "Regular", and the way toward composing and forming the primary draft spread over a couple of days, after which Sunny MR was roped in as the music producer.
Discussing the single, Shalmali stated:“Ever since I got into music, I have been keen on writing and composing my own songs. I wrote ‘Regular’ from start to finish in the lockdown so it felt like the right first song to release. The songwriting phase spanned over two odd days and then I forgot about the song for a while. Sometimes I revisit the songs sitting on my computer, (that’s) when I realised I need to take ‘Regular’ ahead to Sunny to produce and release it.”
“I can say, ‘Regular’ is a passion-driven song, whether it be the project or the emotion of the song. I’ve unknowingly sought inspiration from artistes like Amel Larrieuux, Anderson .Paak, Solange, and Beyonce — who pop into the soundscape of the track ever so often. Needless to say, my new single ‘Regular’ looks a lot different from my other regulars. So, I am excited to share this new English single with the world,” she included.
Recently, Shalmali discharged “Kalle Kalle", which praises women who are single, savage and fun. The single discussions about being proudly free and
independent, carrying on with life without any limits.
