Universal Music India Announces Partnership With Women Of India Foundation

In a landmark move to support and champion women in the music industry, Universal Music India has announced a strategic partnership with the Women of Music India Foundation. The collaboration aims to promote an inclusive, diverse, and equitable environment for female artists, opening doors to new opportunities and fostering a supportive community.

Devraj Sanyal ,Chairman & CEO, India South Asia SVP ( AMeA) Universal Music Group, expressed his long-standing commitment to women in the workplace, emphasizing the importance of meritocracy in his leadership. "I have long been a great supporter of women at work and by extension one of the biggest crusaders of #WomenOfMusic. Sanyal highlighted his deep involvement with the Women of Music movement from its early stages and praised his colleague and friend, Priyanka Khimani, for her pivotal role in the initiative. "There could be no one better to bring it to its current state and be responsible for its future charter than my dear friend, colleague, lawyer, and the ultimate Woman in Music, also the only Indian Billboard Woman of Music, Priyanka Khimani," he added.
