T-Series Issues Statement On Fake Casting Scam Targeting Aspiring Artists

T-Series has issued a public statement distancing itself from a fraudulent casting scam in which a conman impersonated a company representative and allegedly duped at least 17 aspiring artists. The scam involved false promises of roles in T-Series music videos, with victims reportedly being asked to pay money upfront for casting-related expenses.

The music label took to social media on Wednesday to clarify that it has no affiliation with the accused and condemned the misuse of its name. “T-Series has no connection to the individual. We operate with the highest integrity... and none of our representatives demand money for any casting opportunities,” the statement read. The label also reiterated that all collaborations and hiring are done strictly through verified, official channels.

According to reports, the Cyber Cell of Delhi Police has arrested 33-year-old Rahul Dev, also known as Siddharath, from Bharat Colony in Old Faridabad, Haryana. The investigation was launched after a complaint from Simran Maan, a resident of Shahdara, who said she was contacted via social media by individuals posing as T-Series casting agents.

Maan was allegedly told she had been shortlisted for a music video and was asked to travel to Mumbai for an audition. Before proceeding, she was asked to transfer ?20,462 for a flight booking, which the scammers claimed would be reimbursed. Her complaint helped uncover a wider scam that targeted dozens of aspiring models and performers online.

T-Series has urged the public to stay vigilant and verify all casting communications through its official platforms.
