According to outage monitoring service Downdetector, user complaints began spiking in the afternoon, peaking at approximately 2:15 PM IST with over 48,000 reports. The data suggests a significant global outage, with users in multiple regions unable to access Spotify’s core services.
User-Reported Issues
The majority of complaints—around 60%—were linked to the mobile app. Another 24% of users reported problems with streaming, while 16% experienced difficulties accessing the website. Affected users said they couldn’t play songs or podcasts, load their libraries, or even log into their accounts.
Spotify’s Response
The company acknowledged the disruption in a post on X (formerly Twitter), saying:“We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!”
As of now, Spotify has not provided an official timeline for when the issue will be resolved.
