Pritam Joins Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Biopic Starring Rishab Shetty As Music Composer

Renowned composer Pritam Chakraborty has been signed on to create the music for the upcoming biopic on Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, starring Rishab Shetty and directed by Sandeep Singh.

Acclaimed lyricist Prasoon Joshi has also joined the project, adding to its creative powerhouse. Sandeep Singh, known for producing films like Aligarh (2016), Sarabjit (2016), and PM Narendra Modi (2019), is stepping into the director’s chair for the second time with this ambitious historical drama.

Rishab Shetty, currently filming Kantara: Chapter 1—the prequel to his blockbuster Kantara—will portray the legendary 17th-century warrior king. His last directorial venture, Kantara, was released in September 2022 and became a massive success.

Additionally, Rishab is set to lead Jai Hanuman, the sequel to Prasanth Varma’s hit Hanu-Man (2023). Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, the film is expected to go on floors soon.
