The National Basketball Association and Budweiser India have announced the return of BUDX NBA House to India, following its debut in Mumbai last year. The interactive fan experience will take place on May 9 and 10, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam, aligning with the ongoing 2026 NBA Playoffs.
Positioned as a celebration of basketball, music, and culture, this year’s edition in New Delhi will offer an expanded slate of immersive experiences for fans aged 16 and above.
Expanded Fan Experience
The two-day event will feature a mix of on-court basketball activities, live performances by Indian and international artists, and fan engagement zones. Attendees will also have the opportunity to interact with NBA legends, including two-time champion Isiah Thomas and four-time All-Star DeMarcus Cousins.
Among the key highlights are BUDX Masterclasses,expert-led workshops and panel discussions designed to engage emerging artists and DJs,as well as a 3-on-3 celebrity game, streetwear showcases, and photo opportunities with the iconic Larry O’Brien Trophy.
The event will also feature performances by the Sacramento Kings mascot Slamson, the Kings Dancers, and the Kings dunk team. Notably, the franchise had previously participated in the NBA’s first games in India in 2019 and returns for the second consecutive edition of BUDX NBA House.
Building on India’s Growing Basketball Culture
Commenting on the announcement, NBA India Country Head Rajah Chaudhry said the New Delhi edition marks a significant step in deepening fan engagement across the country. He highlighted the strong response to last year’s Mumbai event and emphasised the league’s focus on creating culturally immersive experiences that bring fans closer to the game.
Echoing this sentiment, Vineet Sharma, Vice President, Marketing & Trade Marketing at AB InBev India, noted that the upcoming edition will build on the momentum of the Mumbai debut by offering a more elevated and immersive cultural platform. He added that the initiative aligns with Budweiser’s broader strategy of connecting sport, music, and youth culture through fan-first experiences.
A Growing Global Format
The Mumbai edition of BUDX NBA House attracted over 6,000 fans across two days. The format has previously been hosted in markets including Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, Mexico, the U.S., and the UK, with Australia set to host its first edition later this year.
In India, the event will be produced and ticketed by District by Zomato, with tickets currently available online. Additional details around programming and partners are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Expanding NBA’s Footprint in India
The return of BUDX NBA House underscores the NBA’s continued push to strengthen its presence in India, leveraging the intersection of sport, music, and culture to engage younger audiences. The 2025–26 NBA season is currently available to Indian viewers via platforms including Prime Video, the NBA’s YouTube channel, and NBA League Pass.
As the playoffs unfold, the New Delhi edition of BUDX NBA House is set to offer fans a unique opportunity to experience the energy of the league beyond the court—bringing together sport, entertainment, and community in one immersive setting.
