Amazon Music India and Prime Video turned the spotlight firmly on music as they hosted a high-energy album launch for Lukkhe, setting the tone for the upcoming series with a performance-led showcase.
Stepping in as both actor and the musical voice of the project, King anchors the soundtrack, bringing a fresh, high-octane edge to the series. The launch event blended the worlds of storytelling and sound, unfolding as an immersive evening that mirrored the raw, upbeat energy of Lukkhe.
The event saw the presence of cast members including Palak Tiwari, Raashii Khanna, Shivankit Singh Parihar, Nakul Roshan Sahdev, Lakshvir Saran, and Kritika Bharadwaj. However, the focus remained firmly on the music, which plays a central role in shaping the narrative of the series.
Led by King, the album brings together a diverse mix of indie voices including Amira Gill, Akshath, Ruthvxk, and Ruaa Kavy. Set against the backdrop of Punjab, the soundtrack captures the grit and pulse of the story, delivering a textured, genre-blending soundscape.
Bringing the music to life on stage, King was joined by OAFF and Savera for live performances, offering audiences a first listen to the album and amplifying the evening’s energy.
Speaking about the project, King said the music of Lukkhe is deeply personal, designed to reflect the rawness and emotional journeys of its characters. “The rap goes beyond just energy; it becomes an expression of their emotions and journeys,” he noted, adding that collaborations with OAFF and Savera helped shape an authentic and cohesive sonic identity for the series.
Highlighting the platform’s approach, Rishabh Gupta, Head of Amazon Music India, said the focus was on creating immersive fan experiences rather than just launching music. He emphasised that Lukkhe offered an opportunity to connect audiences with the soundtrack in the context of its narrative.
Jay Mehta, Managing Director, Recorded Music and Publishing, India & SAARC at Warner Music Group, added that the project reflects the label’s focus on music-led storytelling. He noted that the album is designed not only to support the narrative but also to stand independently as a strong musical offering.
Blending storytelling with a powerful soundtrack, Lukkhe is set to stream on Prime Video from May 8, with its music, released via Warner Music India, now available on Amazon Music.
