Expressing his thoughts on the documentary, Rahman remarked, "Music possesses the transformative ability to shape societies, connecting individuals and infusing meaning into existence. 'Headhunting to Beatboxing' celebrates this universal rhythm that binds humanity through its diverse expressions. We eagerly anticipate its journey through film festivals, and what better platform than Cannes, a bastion of cinema, to unveil our film."
The launch event unfolded at the Bharat Pavilion in Cannes, attended by AR Rahman, director Rohit Gupta, executive producer Abu Metha, Theja Meru, and distinguished guests and dignitaries. Rahman also took to Instagram to share the film's first look with his fans.

We instantly knew we had to be part of it. This film is a collaborative effort of numerous creative minds, particularly involving TaFMA, and skillfully captured by director Rohit Gupta. The true heroes are the musicians of Nagaland, whose melodies echo tales from ancient times, epitomizing the aspirations of our youth."
