Radio City Celebrates World Music Day With Inspiring New Initiative

Amidst the diverse musical genres, Radio City, India's leading radio network, embraced the harmonious spirit of World Music Day. They orchestrated a remarkable event at Rameshwar Vidya Mandir in Vakola, Santacruz East, Mumbai, marking the beginning of their celebrations, highlighting music's potential to inspire and unite people from all walks of life.

In an effort to nurture young talent, Radio City’s Music Tribe “In association with – KAVACH a movement” and “Supported by Furtados Music” hosted this vibrant event, with over 120 kids from an NGO that works with children of local BMC schools and helps them in fulfilling their dreams. The event was filled with melodies and interactive activities, wherein Radio City distributed musical instruments to the kids, encouraging them to explore their musical abilities and experience the transformative power of music.

The event was graced by a live performance from the acclaimed singer Tony Kakkar, whose presence captivated and motivated the young audience. Renowned artist, Shibani Kashyap, also lauded the event with her presence. Additionally, the children were engaged by the channel’s energetic RJs through interactive games, making the event both fun and educational.

"Music is a universal language that transcends boundaries and unites hearts. Our endeavour demonstrates Radio City’s pledge to promote music education and empower young talent within our community," said Ashit Kukian, CEO of Radio City. "As we celebrate World Music Day, we invite everyone to join us in recognizing the profound impact of music in enriching lives and nurturing creativity."

Tony Kakkar shared his enthusiasm, stating, "I am honored to be part of an event that encourages young minds to discover their musical potential. Music has the power to alter lives, and I am thrilled to support this initiative by Radio City."

Describing this heartwarming experience Shibani Kashyap added, "Being part of Radio City’s efforts to celebrate World Music Day fills my heart with joy. Music empowers and connects us all, pushing barriers. It’s wonderful to witness these children embrace their musical journey with such enthusiasm."

As World Music Day approaches on June 21st, Radio City invites everyone to celebrate the universal language of music, a force that inspires, unites, and uplifts spirits.
