The tragic demise of music icon KK sent a shockwave throughout the country and music fraternity. To pay homage to the late singer we have already seen quite a few tribute musical events featuring the whos who of the fraternity and now on Sunday (September 11) there will be another music event in Kolkata in remembrance of KK.
Music has always been the ideal creation that can touch souls to build a bridge between melody, harmony and rhythm. It creates the nostalgia, the memory of joy, pain and expresses emotions. When it comes to music and nostalgia, the very first name now comes in our mind is none other than our beloved KK, the most lovable, innocent soul we lost earlier this year.
Be it teenage love story, romance, break up, his songs have covered all genres and have cemented a place in everyone's heart.
The upcoming concert, scheduled to be held at the Mahajati Sadan Auditorium has been named ‘Yaad Ayenge Ye Pal’ in remembrance of the iconic singer and will have acclaimed singers such as Amit Tandon, Khushi Thakur, Jojo, Sidhu, Emon Chatterjee, Chandrika, Benjir, Sudipta, and others performing live to pay a special tribute to KK.
Earlier on KK’s birth anniversary, some of the most memorable songs of KK were crooned by his friends and celebrated stalwarts from the music industry like Papon, Shaan, Pritam, Leslie Lewis, Benny Dayal, and Dhvani Bhanushali. KK’s children Nakul and Tamara also joined to pay tribute to one of the greatest singers of our times. In addition, KK’s original band, too, performed at the concert.
