Diljit Dosanjh has wrapped up the North American leg of his Aura World Tour, grossing $32 million across 15 shows and drawing more than 225,000 fans, setting a new benchmark for a Punjabi artist in the region, according to promoter Live Nation.
The latest run surpasses Dosanjh's own record set by the Dil-Luminati Tour in 2024, which generated $27 million in ticket sales from 215,000 attendees. Live Nation had previously described that tour as the highest-grossing North American outing by a Punjabi artist, a title now overtaken by the Aura World Tour.
Promoted by Live Nation, the North American leg kicked off at Vancouver's BC Place on April 23 before concluding with two sold-out performances at San Francisco's Chase Center on June 20 and 21. The tour also visited major cities including Dallas, Toronto and New York.
Among its standout achievements were two sold-out shows at New York's Madison Square Garden, making Dosanjh the first South Asian artist to sell out the iconic venue on two consecutive nights, according to Live Nation.
Originally announced as a 13-show run, the tour expanded to 15 dates following overwhelming demand, with additional performances added in New York and San Francisco. Live Nation also reported that the tour delivered the largest-ever North American presale for a South Asian artist, selling more than 130,000 tickets within its first two days of sale.
The promoter said the tour reflects the growing global appetite for Punjabi and South Asian music, with Dosanjh continuing to expand the genre's international reach.
Over the past few years, the singer-actor has achieved several global milestones. In 2022, he signed with Warner Music India, marking his first partnership with a major record label. A year later, he became the first artist to perform a fully Punjabi-language set at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
His Born to Shine tour in Australia also generated more than $10 million in ticket sales, while in 2024 he became the first Punjabi-language artist to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The Aura World Tour, named after Dosanjh's 15th studio album released in 2025, began in Sydney and Melbourne in October 2025, where it attracted more than 90,000 fans. Live Nation said the concerts marked the first stadium headline sell-outs by a Punjabi artist in Australia.
The tour will next head to London, where Dosanjh is set to headline Wembley Stadium on September 12. The announcement was made during his Toronto concert on May 31, with the singer describing the performance as another historic first for a Punjabi artist.
The successful North American run adds to a landmark year for Dosanjh, who also received a 2025 International Emmy Award nomination for Best Performance by an Actor for his role in Netflix's Amar Singh Chamkila. His international collaborations include "Hass Hass" with Sia and a remix of "Señorita" with J Balvin, further cementing his growing global presence.
