A.R. Rahman To Score Music For Dhanush And Mari Selvaraj’s Next Film

Fresh off the buzz around Kuberaa’s debut single, fans of Dhanush now have even more to celebrate with back-to-back announcements that hint at major cinematic milestones in the actor’s upcoming lineup.

At the pre-release event of Sumo, producer Ishari K. Ganesh confirmed two major projects that have lit up social media. The first: music legend A.R. Rahman will compose the score for D56, reuniting with Dhanush for what’s expected to be a stirring and soulful musical collaboration. The film also marks Dhanush’s second outing with director Mari Selvaraj, following the critically acclaimed Karnan.

But that’s not all. Ganesh also announced another film with Dhanush, this time to be directed by Vignesh Raja, known for the gripping thriller Por Thozhil. Interestingly, this untitled project is set to go on floors before D56, giving audiences two back-to-back films from the National Award-winning actor.

The Dhanush–A.R. Rahman partnership has previously delivered memorable soundtracks in films like Maryan, Raanjhanaa, Atrangi Re, and the upcoming Raayan. With Rahman back at the helm of the music for D56, anticipation is high for another musical triumph.
