For instance, AI Convert reported a staggering 235% revenue growth compared to the previous year, showcasing the rapid adoption of AI technologies in content creation.
The study also noted a significant shift in revenue models among content creators. Beyond traditional brand sponsorships, creators are leveraging digital products such as online courses, e-books, and customizable templates to diversify their income streams. Successful examples of this trend include creator-led businesses like Raja Rani Coaching, Competishun, and Oll.co, which gained prominen ce after being featured on Shark Tank India.
The demand for educational content continues to rise, with over 62% of audiences in 2024 preferring creators offering informative content over entertainment-based material. Segments like astrology, DIY projects, and podcasts experienced over 100% growth, reflecting their surging popularity. On the Classplus platform alone, interest in astrology saw a 139% increase, while the DIY segment reported a 123% rise in new learners.
Interestingly, 80% of viewers consuming content in these fast-growing niches hail from Tier 2 and smaller cities, underscoring the expanding influence of the creator economy in India’s non-metro regions.
