The Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival (VUWMF) 2026 has announced its artist line-up for the landmark 10th anniversary edition, bringing together a vibrant roster of Indian and international talent for three days of cultural celebration from February 6–8, 2026.
Conceptualised and produced by SEHER in collaboration with the Department of Tourism, Government of Rajasthan and supported by Hindustan Zinc, the festival marks a decade of “Music Without Borders,” reinforcing Udaipur’s reputation as a global destination for world music and cultural exchange.
The 2026 edition features 20 bands and artists from more than 10 countries, covering genres from traditional folk and indigenous music to contemporary fusion, pop and global rhythms. Headlining the Indian contingent are celebrated artists including Kailash Kher, whose soul-stirring blend of folk and Sufi influences has earned him nationwide acclaim; Amit Trivedi, known for his genre-bending sonic experiments; Jonita Gandhi, whose global appeal spans Bollywood hits and independent pop; and Taba Chake, who brings deeply personal, folk-infused songwriting to the stage.
The festival also spotlights India’s dynamic musical ecosystem with performances by Amrit Ramnath, acclaimed for her contemporary takes grounded in classical training, and Indian Ocean, pioneers of Indian fusion rock, alongside OAFF, one of the country’s most exciting contemporary producers.
VUWMF’s international line-up enhances its global scope, with first-time performances in India by artists such as Selin Sümbültepe from Turkey, Calle Mambo from Chile, and Valerie Ekoumé from Cameroon, bringing Latin, Afro-pop and Afro-rock sounds to audiences. Other international acts include Sofiane Saidi (Algeria), Lucibela (Cape Verde), 9 Grader Nord (Norway), Volosi (Poland), and Flamenco Dream from Spain, a father-son duo celebrating musical legacy.
A distinctive hallmark of the festival remains its three moods of the day format: meditative morning performances at Manji Ka Ghat; romantic afternoon sessions at Fateh Sagar Paal; and high-energy evening shows at Gandhi Ground, offering audiences varied soundscapes throughout each day.
Arun Misra, CEO of Hindustan Zinc, highlighted the festival’s evolution, saying the 10-year milestone reflects its scale and continuity in bringing world music to India and celebrating Rajasthan’s musical heritage. Meanwhile, Sanjeev Bhargava, Founder of SEHER, noted that the thoughtfully curated line-up and the festival’s immersive design embody VUWMF’s mission to present “rare global sounds” and powerful Indian voices in ways that deeply connect with audiences.
As the Vedanta Udaipur World Music Festival commemorates a decade of storytelling through sound, it continues to strengthen its identity as a cultural platform where traditions meet, cultures converse, and music becomes a universal language ,free and open to all, with limited reserved seating available through the District app.
