India Welcomes YouTube Music Charts
YouTube Music was recently launched in India by Google, and now they have introduced YouTube Charts! This will be showcasing and focusing on songs, videos and artists doing well in the country. YouTube amasses 2 billion global users and 265 million users every month in India. With the charts now hitting 56 countries, they are the ideal platform for consumers to know what's trending in India and Globally. Adding to this, they are also sharing the charts as video streaming in four different categories - Top 100 most played songs, top 100 music videos globally and locally, and top 30 trending charts as well. With a recent chat with YouTube Music, it was confirmed that the chart would not include songs that have ad-generated views like Badshah's 'Paagal' making waves last week as the best 24-hour record debut. Currently, Lootera on Jass Records is Top Trending in India, and Pachtaoge by Arijit Singh is the Top Song and Music Video in India. Alka Yagnik is leading the charts as the Top Artist.
