OPPO India launched its latest campaign #SidWakesUp featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Sid from Bollywood's fan-favourite, ‘Wake Up Sid!’ produced by Dharma Productions Private Limited. The campaign, conceptualised by Famous Innovations, introduces the OPPO Reno11 Series through the characters from the movie—including Konkana Sen as Ayesha, Namit Das as Rishi, and Shikha Talsania as Laxmi—after 14 years.
Ranbir Kapoor said, “This has been an exciting project, rarely you see brands trying to take a detour from the conventional route and this work has been very different and interesting. It will surely bring a smile on people’s face”.
In the TVC, set amidst a lavish lawn party hosted by the now-married Ayesha and Sid, a surprising twist unfolds as Rishi, caught in a proposal moment, is captured through Sid's lens using his OPPO Reno11 Pro smartphone.
The TVC is followed by an Unboxing video featuring the same cast as the movie that goes live today across digital touchpoints including social media platforms, OTT, and the official OPPO website to promote the new OPPO Reno11 Series smartphones.

The campaign, which also touched upon the interpersonal relationships of all the characters from the movie, is the perfect amalgamation of innovation and sentimentality.”
The Unboxing video, directed by Shakun Batra, unfolds as Sid relocates to Goa with Ayesha, reminiscent of the original film where Sid introduced Ayesha to Mumbai, transforming it from a foreign city to her home. As Sid unpacks and navigates settling into their new house in Goa, still carrying a hint of uncertainty about the move, it's the love and support of his friends and his now-wife, Ayesha, that helps him feel at ease and the gift from his father, the all new OPPO Reno 11 Pro helps him capture new memories for this exciting chapter of his life.
The campaign showcases key product features like 32MP 2X Telephoto Portrait Camera, Portrait Expert Engine and Smart Image Matting among others throughout the TVC and the Unboxing film seamlessly integrating Product in a Story Driven narrative.

The Reno11 Pro 5G, priced at INR 39,999, will be available for sale from January 18th, 2024, while the Reno11 5G—available from January 25th 2024 in two storage variants—will retail at INR 29,999 (128GB) and INR 31,999 (256GB) respectively. All these smartphones will be available on Flipkart, the OPPO e-Store, and across mainline retail outlets. This TVC is part of the media campaign for this new line of devices that boast sterling camera features. Through the years, OPPO has driven camera innovations through its Reno Series, which incorporates advanced camera systems that allow users to capture stunning pro-class portraits and ultra-sharp videos.
