May, 2018, Spotify teamed up with Instagram to help share listeners’ favorite music with their followers through stories. Not limited to just sharing single tracks, one can also share albums, tracks, artists and playlists.
One year after the release of the feature, Spotify has managed to create a new world of music discovery allowing a seamless sharing of music moods, inspiration and exchange.
2019 was a year of female domination on the charts. Artists like Ariana Grande, Billie Elish, Halsey and Lady Gaga remain of top as the most shared stories. A look at the top Spotify tracks of all time globally shared via Instagram Stories will tell you the same.

The feature came into the Indian market
end of February 2019, after the launch of Spotify India . All the active users of the app can now share their music through the in-built feature of the app. With 217 million users globally and India amounting at 2 million, Spotify has managed to revolutionize the music sharing capacity of people phenomenally.
To share a song on Instagram, the users just need to click on the
ellipses next to the name of the song on the Spotify app, tap "
share", and then tap "
Instagram stories". The song will show up as a story on the Instagram app, which when shared, can direct the viewers to the song on Spotify's app.
