Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers can now enjoy a new perk: one free audiobook per month, aligning with a similar benefit Spotify introduced for its Premium listeners last year. The offer is available to Music Unlimited subscribers in the US, Canada, and the UK, granting access to Audible’s vast library of over 1 million audiobooks.
Individual subscribers and the primary account holder of family plans can select one audiobook of any length each month. If a title isn’t finished within the month, users can continue listening in the following month or opt for a new one. However, access to the audiobook will end if the subscription is canceled or paused at the end of the billing cycle.
Amazon Music Unlimited costs $9.99 per month (or $99 annually) for Prime members, while non-Prime subscribers pay $10.99 per month. This pricing gives Amazon a slight edge over Spotify Premium, which costs $11.99 monthly and includes up to 15 hours of audiobook listening per month.
For unlimited audiobook access, Music Unlimited subscribers can add an Audible subscription. Audible’s $14.95/month Premium Plus plan offers one free audiobook per month that subscribers can permanently keep, allowing them to build their libraries while enjoying Audible’s full catalog of audiobooks and podcasts.
The launch marks a major upgrade to Creator Music, which debuted in 2023 as a hub for pre-licensed tracks.
