Shreya Ghoshal Joins ARJN, KDS, RONN And FIFTY4 For Def Jam India’s ‘Kalyani Remix’

After the breakout success of ‘Kalyani’, artists ARJN, KDS, RONN, and FIFTY4 have unveiled ‘Kalyani Remix’, a reimagined version of the hit featuring playback singer Shreya Ghoshal. The remix adds Hindi vocals by Ghoshal while preserving the emotional essence and Malayalam roots that made the original a nationwide favourite.

Originally celebrated for its heartfelt storytelling, poetic lyricism, and melodic appeal, Kalyani explores themes of admiration, longing, and romance. The remix introduces a fresh perspective through Ghoshal's vocals, broadening the song's appeal and making its emotions even more accessible to audiences across languages.

The original track enjoyed remarkable success across streaming platforms, peaking at No. 17 on Spotify India's Top 200, No. 2 on Spotify UAE's Top 200, and No. 32 on Spotify's Global Viral Songs chart. It also charted strongly in Singapore, the UAE, India, and Malaysia, highlighting the growing global reach of regional Indian music.

The remix is accompanied by an official music video starring Malayalam actor Saniya Iyappan, adding a fresh visual interpretation to the song. Building on the original's blend of contemporary Kerala influences with hip-hop, R&B, and melodic elements, the new version aims to bridge regional and national audiences through Ghoshal's voice.

Speaking about the collaboration, Ghoshal said, "It's always exciting to discover a song that has organically found such a deep connection with listeners. What struck me about 'Kalyani' was the sincerity of its emotion and the beauty of its melody. My intention was not to change its identity, but to contribute a new perspective. I hope listeners enjoy this new chapter as much as we enjoyed creating it."

ARJN described the remix as a natural evolution of the song's journey, saying the collaboration with Ghoshal offered the perfect opportunity to introduce Kalyani to a wider audience while staying true to its original spirit.

KDS added that Kalyani had always been "a song about emotion first and language second," making Ghoshal's involvement a fitting next step, while FIFTY4 said her ability to connect with listeners across languages brought a sense of grace and timelessness to the track.

With Kalyani Remix, ARJN, KDS, RONN, FIFTY4, and Shreya Ghoshal celebrate the growing influence of regional Indian music, demonstrating how emotionally driven songs can transcend language, geography, and genre.
