Music maestro Pandit Jasraj passes away at 90
By Sohani Mittal Music legend Pandit Jasraj passed away at the age of 90 in the United States. He was the doyen of Indian classical vocal music was a recipient of varied prestigious awards and honours including Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan and Padma Vibhushan.  Belonging to Mewati Gharana, Jasraj was introduced by his father to vocal music, and was later trained as a tabla accompanist under the tutelage, Pandit Pratap Narayan, his elder brother.
