Harrdy Sandhu’s upcoming single ‘Stuck On You’ will release on August 28, marking the first implementation of Universal Music India’s (UMI) new 72-hour subscriber-first release window in India.
Under the new model, paid subscribers on participating global and regional music streaming platforms will get exclusive access to new releases for 72 hours before they become available more widely on ad-supported tiers. ‘Stuck On You’, released via VYRL Originals, will be available to all listeners from August 31.
The initiative, which UMI is introducing from late August, is designed to strengthen the value of paid music subscriptions in India while supporting a more sustainable ecosystem for artists and the wider music industry.
Commenting on the release, Harrdy Sandhu said the model gives fans who subscribe to music platforms the opportunity to hear his music first, adding that he was excited for ‘Stuck On You’ to be part of the new initiative.
With the release, Sandhu becomes the first artist in India to launch a song under UMI’s subscriber-first model, marking a new approach to music releases and fan engagement.
