Oscar-winning composer AR Rahman has announced that Shah Rukh Khan will feature in the music video of “Asha Forever,” his special musical tribute to legendary singer Asha Bhosle. The song is expected to be released soon, although an official release date has not yet been announced.
Rahman shared the news on social media, thanking Shah Rukh Khan for agreeing to be part of the tribute dedicated to Bhosle. The project was first announced by Rahman on World Music Day and was conceived while Bhosle was still alive, with the hope that she would be able to witness the musical celebration herself.
Titled “Asha Forever,” the project brings together musicians and artists from different backgrounds to celebrate Bhosle’s enduring musical legacy. The tribute also features musicians from London’s Trinity Laban Music College, adding an international dimension to the project.
Rahman had earlier released a teaser offering a glimpse into the making of the tribute. The project has gained added emotional significance following Bhosle’s death at the age of 92 in April 2026 after a career spanning more than eight decades.
With Shah Rukh Khan now joining the music video, “Asha Forever” brings together two major figures from Indian cinema and music in a tribute to one of the country’s most iconic voices.
