Armin Zerza Steps Down As Warner Music Group CFO & COO

Warner Music Group (WMG) has announced that its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, Armin Zerza, has stepped down from his role with immediate effect, citing personal reasons. While his departure is effective immediately, Zerza will continue to support the company through the end of its fiscal year to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

The company has launched the search for a permanent Chief Financial Officer. Until a successor is appointed, Lou Dickler, Senior Vice President, Global Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, will serve as Acting CFO. Dickler has previously held the interim finance leadership role and brings extensive experience and deep institutional knowledge to the position.

Commenting on Zerza's departure, Warner Music Group CEO Robert Kyncl said the executive had played a key role during a significant phase of the company's growth and transformation.

"Armin has been an instrumental leader and member of the executive team during a crucial period of growth and transformation," Kyncl said. "We thank Armin for his outstanding business and financial leadership and enduring contributions to WMG, and we wish him all the best."

Zerza joined Warner Music Group as Chief Financial Officer in May 2025 after previously serving in senior leadership positions at Activision Blizzard. In May 2026, he expanded his responsibilities by taking on the additional role of Chief Operating Officer, overseeing several strategic and operational functions across the company.

His departure comes just months after assuming the dual CFO and COO responsibilities, marking another significant leadership transition for the global music company as it continues to strengthen its executive team.
