Singer-songwriter Ananya Birla has announced her departure from the music scene to fully devote herself to the business world. After kickstarting her singing career with a single in 2016, she amassed a collection of over 30 songs and released her own album in 2019.
However, citing the challenge of balancing her entrepreneurial pursuits with music, Ananya expressed her decision on Instagram, thanking fans for their support and expressing hope for the recognition of English music by Indian artists in the future.
Her recent contribution to the film industry includes a track in the Vidya Balan-Pratik Gandhi starrer "Do Aur Do Pyaar." This marks her first involvement in singing for a film, joining forces with Lost Stories and Armaan Malik for the composition "Jazbaati Hai Dil."
Ananya has also previously lent her voice to the AR Rahman composed track "Hindustani Way" for the Indian Olympic team at the 2021 Olympics. Among her notable singles are "Cuffed," "Better," and "Teri Meri Kahani."
