Agsy Makes Punjabi Cinema Debut With ‘Dhol Jageero Da 2.0’ For Carry On Jatta 4

Independent rapper, singer and songwriter Agsy has unveiled 'Dhol Jageero Da 2.0', the exclusive promotional track for the upcoming Punjabi film Carry On Jatta 4. The release marks her debut in Punjabi cinema as both a playback singer and an on-screen performer alongside Gippy Grewal and Master Saleem.

Originally made popular by Master Saleem and Panjabi MC, Dhol Jageero Da has long been a staple at Punjabi weddings and celebrations. Agsy's rendition brings a contemporary twist by blending rap, melody and modern production while preserving the spirit of the original.

Reflecting on the project, Agsy said, "Dhol Jageero Da is one of those songs that instantly gets people on the dance floor. I grew up seeing that magic firsthand. So when this opportunity came my way, I knew I wanted to keep that vibe alive while adding my own flavour. I'm all about taking what we love, giving it a fresh spin, and making it connect with the Gen Z generation. If this version gets families dancing together again, that's the biggest win for me."

Raised in Haryana with roots in Punjab, Agsy revealed that the song holds a special place in her childhood memories, having watched her family dance to it at weddings and celebrations.

The collaboration also positions Agsy as the "Gen Z Jageero," reimagining the traditional Punjabi symbol of joy and celebration for a younger audience through her music, fashion and performance style.

Known for blending hip-hop, melody and Punjabi influences, Agsy first gained recognition as a contestant on MTV Hustle Season 1 before building an independent career through original music. With Dhol Jageero Da 2.0, she continues to bridge the gap between independent music and mainstream cinema while introducing one of Punjab's most iconic celebration songs to a new generation.
