Bandland 2026 Cancelled In Bengaluru: Here’s Why The Music Festival Was Called Off And How Refunds Will Work

The upcoming edition of Bandland, one of Bengaluru’s most anticipated music festivals, has been cancelled, leaving fans disappointed just weeks ahead of the event.

The festival was scheduled to take place on February 14 and 15, and excitement had been steadily building around the lineup and the Valentine’s weekend timing. However, organisers BookMyShow Live confirmed on Wednesday that the 2026 edition will not go ahead as planned.

Sharing the update on social media, the organisers addressed fans directly in an emotional note. “Bandland Fam, this one hurts to share. Bandland 2026, scheduled for February 14 & 15, will not be going ahead as planned,” the post read, striking a candid and apologetic tone.

The decision follows a major change to the festival’s lineup. Muse, one of Bandland’s headlining acts, has called off its upcoming tour due to unforeseen circumstances, a move that directly affected its scheduled appearance at the Bengaluru festival. With the event barely a month away, the organisers said the development forced them to take a difficult call.

In their statement, BookMyShow Live explained that rather than proceeding with a compromised version of the festival, they chose to cancel the 2026 edition altogether in order to protect the experience Bandland promises its audience. “With the festival just a month away and our commitment to delivering an uncompromised live experience, we’ve decided to not go ahead this year,” the organisers said, adding that they fully respect the band’s decision and wished them well.

Acknowledging the disappointment fans would inevitably feel, the note added, “We know this is disappointing news, it is for us too and we’re incredibly grateful for your trust, patience, and love for Bandland.”

For ticket holders, the organisers confirmed that full refunds will be issued automatically. Refunds will be processed within 8 to 10 working days to the original mode of payment. Those who purchased Bandland add-ons along with other events will also receive refunds, with additional communication promised directly to affected customers.

The message concluded on a note of gratitude, thanking fans for standing by the festival and for being part of the Bandland community. While this year’s edition may not be going ahead, the organisers reassured audiences that the trust and patience shown by fans does not go unnoticed,keeping the door open for what Bandland could return as in the future.
