Santoor Maestro Tarun Bhattacharya and his philanthropic organization Santoor Ashram presented the Star of Tomorrow Award to Raghvesh Tiwari of Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. ‘Star of Tomorrow’ is a unique initiative of Santoor Ashram to unearth and recognize talent in the field of Indian music and dance from across India and even in overseas countries.
The competition is aimed at spreading awareness of our heritage culture and Santoor Ashram also has taken initiative to support the young musician who is financially challenged.
As Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya said, “we have a lot of young talented musicians in our country but most of them do not get the proper opportunity, right platform and timely exposure for the flowering and recognition of the talent. I have been trying to provide this platform not only in India but across the world to such prodigious talent and Ragvesh is one such talent and delighted that he won this award among so many contestants.”.
Raghvesh said, It is my great fortune that a legendary musician and my Guru ji could see my talent and give shape to it but for me it is just the beginning, I have to travel a long distance, practise and perfect my art and make my Gurus proud.”
The thrilling event is scheduled for November 24, 2024, at the Zee Studio, Jaipur.
