Over the past couple of days, a number of media outlets have been reporting about late actor Rishi Kapoor’s last film Sharmaji Namkeen. In fact, the veteran actor’s son Ranbir Kapoor has also been talking about the film which will release on the OTT streaming site Amazon Prime Video. Well, a day before the film releases, the makers launched a special tribute video that features some of the biggest names in the industry including Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Farhan Akhtar and others.
The said video which is based on Rishi Kapoor’s track ‘Meri Umar Ke Naujawano’ from the film Karz starts off with the original track playing, and switches to montages of the various actors dancing to the tune, dressed like the late actor. Besides the above actors the video also sees Ananya Pandey, Aadar Jain, Tara Sutaria, Arjun Kapoor, and Siddhanth Chaturvedi joining in. The tribute video directed and choreographed by Ganesh Hegde, makes for a memorable visual of the actor who has enraptured the audience with his performance in a number of films.
As for Rishi Kapoor’s last film, Sharmaji Namkeen stars an ensemble of actors, including the Late Rishi Kapoor and Paresh Rawal, alongside Juhi Chawla, Suhail Nayyar, Taaruk Raina, Satish Kaushik, Sheeba Chaddha, and Isha Talwar. Directed by Hitesh Bhatia and produced by Excel Entertainment in association with Honey Trehan and Abhishek Chaubey of MacGuffin Pictures, the film will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on March 31.
