"She Sang It Better Than Me": Karan Aujla Reacts To Asha Bhosle's Viral 'Tauba Tauba' Performance In Dubai

Punjabi singer Karan Aujla expressed his gratitude and amazement after "the living goddess of music," Asha Bhosle, performed his chart-topping hit "Tauba Tauba" at her concert in Dubai over the weekend.

The legendary 91-year-old singer not only sang the track but also danced to its beats, leaving fans awestruck. Videos of Bhosle’s performance quickly went viral on Monday morning, capturing the internet’s attention and earning praise from music enthusiasts worldwide.

Aujla, who penned "Tauba Tauba" at 27, shared his admiration on Instagram, writing, “I wrote it at 27, she sang it at 91 better than me.” In another heartfelt post, he reflected on his humble beginnings and the significance of the moment: “@asha.bhosle ji, the living Goddess of music, just performed Tauba Tauba—a song written by a kid from a small village with no music background. This moment is truly iconic, and one I will never forget.”

The song, choreographed by Bosco Martis, gained immense popularity earlier this year, with fans and celebrities recreating its challenging hook step on social media. It also featured Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri in the movie Bad Newz, further cementing its success.

Aujla expressed how seeing Bhosle perform his song has inspired him to continue creating meaningful music. “This has really inspired me to keep giving you all such melodies and create more memories together,” he added.

Asha Bhosle, whose illustrious career spans over eight decades, is celebrated for iconic tracks across genres, including “Chura Liya Hai Tumne Jo Dil Ko,” “Piya Tu Ab To Aaja,” and “Dil Cheez Kya Hai.”

While Asha Bhosle wowed audiences in Dubai, Karan Aujla was busy captivating fans in Jaipur as part of his It Was All A Dream tour. The singer is set to perform next in Ahmedabad on December 31, closing the year on a high note.
