Navratri, the vibrant and spirited Hindu festival, is a time when devotees across India come together to celebrate the triumph of good over evil. It is marked by lively music, colorful attire, mesmerizing dance, and heartfelt devotion. This year, Navratri has taken on an even more joyous and celebratory tone with the release of "Maadi," a special song written by none other than the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, and composed by the talented duo Meet Bros. This unique collaboration has added an extra layer of enthusiasm to the festive season.
Speaking about this Harmeet and Manmeet, Meet Bros, say, “We got a call regarding the song just 3-4 days before Navratri. It was very time sensitive and we were informed about it from the onset. We had just about four hours to compose the music but we were buoyed by the fact that the PMO and Modi ji had shown faith in us and we took it as a challenge. The track itself was written beautifully by Modi ji and it had the perfect commercial element to it as well.
We managed to complete the task in an hour and a half itself and sent it immediately for approval to the PMO. They absolutely loved it and we began detailing. We knew we needed a singer who could do justice to the song’s nuances and get the diction right and Divya Kumar was an obvious choice. He has done complete justice to the song and it was appreciated immensely by the PMO. All in all it took us two days to complete the melody and it was a surreal experience.”
Praising the Prime Minister further for his administrative abilities, the duo further added, “Modi Ji is nothing less than a superhero. Not only does he run the country so well but he is also a great human being who has the ability to touch people’s lives. His talent of writing blew us apart when we read the lyrics. In conclusion, we’d just like to say We are extremely indebted to the Prime Minister for giving us this opportunity to compose on his lyrics. Just a handful of people would get an opportunity like this. We have utmost gratitude and we pray to Mata Rani, that we get more chances to compose for a living legend like Shree Narendra Modi.” They conclude.
Maadi" is not just a song; it's an anthem of unity, diversity, and the joy of Navratri. It encapsulates the essence of the festival in a way that resonates with people from all walks of life. As the nation comes together to celebrate Navratri, "Maadi" is sure to be the backdrop for joyous festivities, a reminder of the rich cultural tapestry of India, and a testament to the power of music and art in bringing people together.
