A new musical collaboration between Oscar-winning composer A.R. Rahman and singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh has been unveiled with the release of ‘Kya Kamaal Hai’, a track from the upcoming film Main Vaapas Aaunga. Mounted under the creative vision of filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, the song positions itself as an evocative, introspective piece rooted in themes of longing, peace, and emotional stillness.

Rahman described the collaboration as an extension of an ongoing creative exchange with both Imtiaz Ali and lyricist Irshad Kamil. Reflecting on the process, he noted that working with the trio felt like continuing an unfinished artistic conversation. He also highlighted the synergy with Dosanjh, recalling their earlier shared creative space during Chamkila, but emphasized that this project allowed for a more direct musical collaboration.
