As India’s music ecosystem moves beyond streams and chart positions into a more holistic creator economy, former Spotify India Head of Editorial Aoneha Tagore has launched Collabor8, a next-generation artist management and brand-building agency aimed at reshaping how music talent is nurtured and positioned.
Founded in late 2025, Collabor8 enters the market at a time when artists are increasingly functioning as cultural voices, community builders and brand entities, yet are often managed through short-term, release-driven frameworks. The agency seeks to bridge that gap by offering what it calls “Music Surround Services,” an integrated suite that spans music strategy, PR, social media, content direction, brand partnerships, monetisation and long-term positioning.
Tagore brings over two decades of cross-platform experience to the venture. Her career has traversed radio, television and global streaming, with leadership stints at World Space Satellite Radio, Fever FM, Oye FM, Radio City, 9X Network, MTV, Vh1 and the launch of MTV Beats. Most recently, she led the Editorial vertical at Spotify India, playing a key role in shaping contemporary music discovery and storytelling in the country.
At Collabor8, artist management is positioned not as campaign execution but as long-term brand stewardship. The agency follows a people-first, insight-led approach focused on narrative clarity, fandom development and sustainable growth. It works with emerging, scaling and established artists, tailoring strategies to individual ambitions rather than applying a one-size-fits-all template.
The agency has already begun onboarding both upcoming and established acts, signalling its intent to partner with artists looking to build careers that extend beyond conventional release cycles.
Speaking about the launch, Tagore said, “Artists today are not just releasing music; they’re shaping culture, building communities and initiating conversations. Yet much of the ecosystem still manages them for the next release or moment. Collabor8 was created to help artists articulate their vision, how they want to be seen, heard and remembered and build meaningful narratives around their brand identity. Our focus is on building scale, longevity and fandom for music artists, not fleeting visibility.”
As India’s artist economy matures, Collabor8 aims to redefine the support system around talent, shifting from transactional management models to strategic, sustainable career-building frameworks. In an industry where influence increasingly extends beyond music alone, the agency is positioning itself at the intersection of culture, commerce and long-term creative relevance.
