AR Rahman Wins Hollywood Music In Media Award For Aadujeevitham Background Score

AR Rahman’s background score for the Malayalam film Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life has won the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award (HMMA) 2024 in the category of Best Background Score (Foreign Language).

Expressing his gratitude, Rahman shared a heartfelt video thanking the film’s team for their unwavering support. Calling the recognition “an incredible honor,” he said, “I’m grateful to HMMA for acknowledging my work. This project was a labor of love, and I share this moment with my amazing team of musicians and technicians, the director Blessy, and everyone who believed in the vision we brought to life.”

The official Instagram account of Aadujeevitham also celebrated the milestone, stating, “We are thrilled to share that Aadujeevitham - The Goat Life has won the award for Best Background Score (Foreign Language) at the 2024 Hollywood Music in Media Awards (HMMA)!”

Since Rahman couldn’t attend the event, director Blessy accepted the award on his behalf. The team expressed their gratitude, saying, “A huge thank you to the incredible talent AR Rahman and the entire team for their hard work in bringing this vision to life. We are overwhelmed by the love and support.”

This achievement comes amidst news of Rahman and his wife, Saira Banu, ending their 29-year marriage. The composer released a statement asking for privacy, saying, “All things seem to carry an unseen end. Please respect our family’s privacy during this time.”
