In a LinkedIn post, Batra looked back at his journey, highlighting how his early efforts in building the music streaming category in India have since expanded into shaping a dynamic and rapidly evolving region across SAMEA. He emphasized the transformative changes in the industry, including the development of new playbooks and the creation of opportunities for artists, listeners, and brands.

“What started as building the category of music streaming in India became shaping an exciting region across SAMEA,” Batra noted, underlining the scale and impact of Spotify’s growth during his tenure.
