Coke Studio and Ogilvy India are reviving the lost art of mixtapes this Valentine's Day with the launch of the Coke Studio Mixtape—a heartfelt tribute to expressing love through music rather than digital messages. This special release features curated songs from Coke Studio Bharat, Bangla, and Tamil, recorded onto an exclusive cassette. Each mixtape comes with a uniquely designed Coke Studio Cassette Player, making it a nostalgic yet fresh way to celebrate love.
Shantanu Gangane, Senior Director, Integrated Marketing Experience, India & SWA, shared his thoughts on the initiative:"Coke Studio has always been about celebrating music as a universal language—one that connects people, evokes emotions, and creates shared moments. With the Coke Studio Mixtape, we’re bringing back the joy of thoughtful gestures—turning music into a personal expression of love and togetherness."
The campaign, conceptualized by Ogilvy India as part of OpenX from WPP, aims to rekindle the sentimental value of handmade mixtapes. Sukesh Nayak, Chief Creative Officer, Ogilvy India, highlighted the emotional significance:
"A mixtape is more than just a collection of songs—it’s about the time, effort, and care put into creating something truly special. This Valentine’s Day, instead of traditional gifts, surprise your loved one with a mixtape crafted just for them. It’s a timeless expression of love."
With this campaign, Coke Studio and Ogilvy are blending nostalgia with romance, encouraging people to slow down and embrace the magic of music as a deeply personal gift.
