The Leitlangpui Music Festival (LMF) wrapped up its three-day celebration at Kawmzawl in Lunglei district on Saturday, closing with a lively finale that drew crowds from across the region.

Tourism minister Lalnghinglova Hmar hailed the successful execution of the event, noting that the government intends to scale up tourism by supporting more cultural showcases across Mizoram. He underscored the importance of preserving Mizo music, arts and traditions, adding that festivals like LMF help reinforce cultural identity while creating economic opportunities for local communities.

Hmar also announced two upcoming attractions on the state’s tourism calendar, the Aizawl Winter Festival from December 15–23 and the Sakawrhmuituai Sunset Programme on December 31.

The final day of LMF featured nearly 100 stalls offering local food, handicrafts, handloom products, entertainment and information booths. A health screening camp, organised by the Lunglei deputy commissioner’s office to mark Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas, was also held.

A strong lineup of performers, including Vuantea, Rosalind & Olaftea, Feli Band, Deborah Ralte, Cassettes, Ruatpuii, Saka, Bzi Tochhawng, Mimi Renthlei, Lalsangliana (Taitea), Trance Effect, Albatross and Lilac & Jacks, kept audiences captivated throughout the evening.
