The festival seems to be getting bigger and better with every passing year. And the fourth edition in Meghalaya is just the start of the amazing experiences that Weekender has to offer this year. With a sold out venue on the second day, Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Meghalaya saw a massive reception this year. The two days were filled with power packed performances by alternative rock bands Poets of the Fall and Switchfoot. English guitarist Guthrie Govan also blew the audience away with his set on day 1. Day 1 also saw performances by Shillong's very own Tipriti Kharbangar and the Clansmen, as well as several other Indian acts like Sandunes (Live), Aditi Ramesh, Scribe, and Shadow and Light to name a few. [caption id="attachment_7332" align="aligncenter" width="662"] Credits: Agniprava Nath[/caption] On day 2, Bollywood music composer and performer Shankar Mahadevan played at the festival for the second time, with his music collective - My Country, My Music, with the audience calling for an encore when he finished. The audience also enjoyed the performance of Carnatic Classical legend TM Krishna who played at Meghalaya for the first time. Festival goers also enjoyed energetic performances by Zero, Pentagram and Mohini Dey.
2018 is the most successful edition we have had in our four years here. The love and support that we have been welcomed with has truly made us feel at home. We look forward to being back next year for another fantastic experience in such a beautiful part of the country. -Supreet Kaur, Festival Director

Along with the amazing music, the added fun at the bazaar, the food stalls, the official merch stalls, the Thar area, and the Too Yumm Zone is what completes the Weekender experience and takes this festival to another level. The biggest indie festival of the country has become one of most anticipated experiences of the year and keeps the audience wanting more!
