Shaarib & Toshi Sabri Launch ‘Roohaniyat’, Bringing A New Era Of Indian Sufi Music

Renowned composer–singer duo Shaarib Sabri and Toshi Sabri are set to redefine the landscape of Indian Sufi music with their upcoming album, Roohaniyat, presented by Opul Music. Envisioned as a ten-track spiritual journey, the album promises one of the most immersive and authentic Sufi productions in India in recent years.

Rooted in decades of classical and Sufi traditions, the Sabri brothers have spent over 20 years shaping India’s contemporary music scene with hits like Maahi, Samjhawan, and Sanson Ko, amassing a cumulative digital viewership of over 500 million. With Roohaniyat, the duo takes a deliberate turn from trend-driven formats, returning to the heart of their musical philosophy with devotion-led compositions that evoke emotional depth and inner stillness.

Described as more than an album, Roohaniyat is a musical immersion. It brings together an ensemble of prominent Indian voices, each selected to align with the project’s Sufi ethos. The opening track, “Tumse Pyaar Karte Hai”, pairs Shaarib and Toshi with Akshita Chouhan in a contemplative ode to eternal love. Energy picks up with “Pass Aagaye Hai” featuring Mika Singh, while tracks like “Murshid” with Rahul Vaidya and “Allah Hoo” delve into themes of surrender and reverence.

Other notable tracks include “Dhokebaazi”, featuring Harshdeep Kaur and Khan Saab, exploring betrayal and longing; “Ishq Da Haasil” with Nakash Aziz, reflecting divine love; and “Ali Ali” with Raja Hassan, blending rhythmic intensity with spiritual lyricism. “Badnam Parindey” with Rais Anis Sabri adds a haunting narrative, while “Tu Na Jaa” carries the brothers’ signature emotional restraint. The album concludes with “Aisa Banna Sawarna”, contemplating destiny and divine design, bringing the journey full circle.

Recorded through large-scale sessions designed to capture the raw energy of traditional Sufi performance, Roohaniyat is being launched with a nationwide outreach strategy. Digital releases, live performances, and city-based engagements are planned to connect with audiences beyond conventional music circuits.

With Roohaniyat, Shaarib and Toshi Sabri reaffirm their role as modern torchbearers of Sufi music, delivering a project that prioritises musical integrity, emotional resonance, and timeless appeal in an increasingly fast-paced industry.
