Lost Stories remix Bhuvan Bam’s ‘Heer Ranjha’
India, 7th Aug 2020: Music producers Lost Stories and somanshu released a remix of Bhuvan Bam’s latest track ‘Heer Ranjha’ and added their signature touch by blending together the original sound with electronic music influenced by Indian ethnic elements. Talking about the production of the song, Rishab Joshi from Lost Stories said“The sound we went for this time was more of a ballad to do justice to the emotion of the original song by Bhuvan. The melody on this is a journey in itself and it’s very different from all our previous remixes.”  “I’ve been dealing with crippling anxiety when it comes to starting a new track. Every time I’d sit to start the remix, I’d have to stop and do something else so, I decided to try a different approach wherein I composed the main melody on my iPad, did the drop drums on my laptop sitting on my couch and mixed it in my bedroom and that worked,” he added.  The original version of ‘Heer Ranjha’ was released on 13th July on Bhuvan’s YouTube channel BB Ki Vines. It describes the feeling of being unable to meet and spend time with loved ones, who are either away from home on business or stuck somewhere. The feeling of being stuck has been instrumental in the creation of Heer-Ranjha. “It gives me a great pleasure to collaborate with the duo as I have loved Lost Stories from the very first time I heard their music. I am really excited for the remixed version of ‘Heer Ranjha.’ I hope the fans will love this version as much as the original track”, said Bhuvan Bam Somanshu, a music producer from Nanital who recently toured with the Arijit Singh and is supported by the likes of Alan Walker, KSHMR, and Illenium, lent his hand on making of this remix. “Rishab sent me the idea for the drop and I instantly started structuring the song. I started working on the verses and to set up the mood of the song, added some ambiance, and constructed some emotional chords around it. Post that everything fell in place pretty organically and we finished the remix in two days,” he said. Underscoring their position as one of the leading electronic music artists, earlier this year, Lost Stories became the first-ever Indians to be a part of YouTube’s artist development program, Foundry. While in the lockdown, the duo has released back-to-back singles namely ‘Mai Ni Meriye’ (with Jonita Gandhi and Aswhin Adwani), ‘Noor’ (with Zaeden and Akanksha Bhandari), and the remix of Armaan Malik’s debut International single ‘Control’.  Listen here: https://open.spotify.com/album/2yuNGNbbpfaiJoeCERgKPF?si=gb84OdkFQrSVRL0uMv6lGw
