Spotify has appointed Waralika Prasad as Strategy & Operations Manager for the SAMEA (South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Turkey) region, strengthening its strategy team across one of the company’s fastest-growing markets.
Prasad announced the appointment on LinkedIn, calling it a “new chapter” in her professional journey. In her new role, she will support strategic planning and operational excellence across multiple markets spanning South Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Turkey.
Prior joining Spotify, Prasad worked at Accenture Strategy & Consulting, where she focused on AI-first product and business strategy. She is also an alumna of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, where she completed her MBA.
Sharing her excitement about the move, Prasad wrote, “I’ve joined Spotify as Strategy & Operations Manager for SAMEA. Four regions. Dozens of markets. Millions of listeners finding their sound every day. A lot to learn, a lot to build.”
She also expressed gratitude to the mentors, colleagues and supporters who have shaped her career, adding, “To everyone who’s shaped my thinking, challenged me, or just cheered me on along the way, this one’s for you.”
The appointment comes as Spotify continues to invest in leadership across the SAMEA region, which has become increasingly important to the streaming giant’s global growth ambitions. Prasad’s experience in business strategy and consulting is expected to contribute to Spotify’s efforts to drive operational efficiency, cross-market collaboration and long-term growth across the region.
