Virgin Music Group (VMG) has announced a new global leadership structure spanning six regions, marking the next phase of its integration with Downtown Music following the completion of its $775 million acquisition earlier this year. The reorganisation brings together senior executives from both companies under the leadership of Co-CEOs JT Myers and Nat Pastor.
Under the new framework, VMG will operate across six regional divisions, with leaders overseeing North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa & Middle East, Asia-Pacific, and Global Services. Each regional head will report directly to Myers and Pastor as the company looks to strengthen its worldwide independent music services business.
The appointments combine long-serving Virgin Music executives with leaders from Downtown, reflecting the company's strategy of integrating expertise from both organisations while maintaining a strong local-market focus. The move follows VMG's acquisition of Downtown, which was completed in February 2026.
Commenting on the announcement, Co-CEO Nat Pastor said the combined structure builds on the strengths of both companies in supporting the independent music community. He added that the new organisation is designed to foster innovation while preserving the entrepreneurial culture and trusted relationships that have defined Virgin Music Group and Downtown.
The leadership reshuffle is intended to streamline operations, encourage greater collaboration across markets, and expand support for independent artists, labels and creators globally. It also represents one of the most significant organisational changes since Universal Music Group completed its acquisition of Downtown through Virgin Music Group earlier this year.
